Looking back on Whitsun seminar 2018- Terugblik op het Pinksterseminar

Finally a Whitsun seminar again! After last year’s decision to cancel it, due to too few registrations and too much overhead-costs, we started looking for cheaper alternatives. Thanks to Helga we found it in Issum (DE) near Geldern (DE) and so we moved the oldest seminar from Venlo (NL) to Geldern (DE). As a result, despite the still limited number of participants, it could still continue.
Fortunately, because the seminar was very successful. The mood was excellent thanks to the almost endless supply of home-baked pies. Delicious! There was a lot of laughter and there were no dissonances.
In addition, everyone worked hard on the forms and the tuishou (pushing hands). Luckily, despite my still unstable physical condition, I was able to contribute to the lessons. Thanks also Mark and Richard for their valuable contribution to the program.
I think that all participants are already looking forward to the next Whitsun seminar and hopefully the number of participants will grow again by word of mouth. What we have learned from Ma Jiangbao is definitely worth being passed on, in its most pure form, and that’s exactly what our association (EWTC) aspires and stands for.

Eindelijk weer een Pinksterseminar! Nadat we vorig jaar moesten besluiten dat het niet door kon gaan, wegens te weinig aanmeldingen en te hoge zaal- en andere kosten, zijn we op zoek gegaan naar goedkopere alternatieven. Dankzij Helga vonden we die in Issum (DE) nabij Geldern (DE) en dus hebben we het oudste seminar verhuisd van Venlo (NL) naar Gelderen (DE). Daardoor kon het, ondanks het nog steeds wat magere aantal deelnemers, toch doorgaan.
Gelukkig, want het seminar was zeer geslaagd. De stemming was opperbest mede dankzij de bijna eindeloze aanvoer van huisgebakken taarten. Heerlijk! Er werd vanouds veel gelachen en er waren geen wanklanken.
Daarnaast werd aan de vormen en het Tuishou door iedereen hard gewerkt. Gelukkig kon ik zelf, ondanks mijn nog labiele lichamelijke conditie, toch een bijdrage leveren aan de lessen. Dank zijn we ook verschuldigd aan Mark en Richard voor hun waardevolle bijdrage aan het lesprogramma.
Ik denk dat alle deelnemers nu al weer uitkijken naar het volgende Pinksterseminar en wie weet gaat het aantal deelnemers door mond op mond reclame dan ook weer groeien. Dat wat we van Ma Jiangbao geleerd hebben is het zekere waard in zo zuiver mogelijke vorm doorgegeven te worden en precies dat is het waar de vereniging voor staat.
Dank aan alle participanten voor hun aanwezigheid, motivatie en harde werk. Zonder jullie allen was het niet mogelijk geweest!
